    What if I am using a botanical that is submerged in ethanol and water cannot be added? Does that impact temperature and curing of the filter modules? Also, when I backflush, do I need to also use a solvent that will dissolve the lipids in the botanical brine?

    Could use with a much more detailed video-there are parts that are taken off that are not labeled or explained in the video...would be better to get rid of the elevator music and have the technician talk us through what they are doing as they do it.

    Great video! Do you have to stack the filters to the top of the housing unit? For example you stacked your filter with 2 filters, and left a gap. Would the filter system still work if it's one filter on the unit you're using? Thank you! this video is super helpful.

      In the video, we're using 2 modules in a 3-high housing with the use of a 2-high center post. You can also use just one module in this housing by using a 1-high post. You cannot use one or two modules with the 3-high post or you will have bypass and thus no filtration. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at 707-765-6666.

    Thank you. That answered (visually and instructionally) about possibly using two different filtration level filters. If using a diversion plate in order to use two filtration mediums, what is the biggest differential you recommend (for wine), e.g. 5 micron initial to 1 micron secondary?

    on 1:45 it looks like the side of the first plate facing the wine is smooth side when it should be rough side no?

      Hi Clement - great question. That is actually a common misconception. The orientation is correct because it is in fact the coarse side facing the wine due to the diversion plate changing the flow pattern. When you follow the flow pattern by looking closely at the inlet side of the plate and see how the direction changes in this second stage, you'll see that it is correct.
